About Redox

In 2017, Zena Chami welcomed her first child — a moment of immense joy that also brought an unexpected challenge. Like many women, she experienced the effects of pregnancy hormones, which caused a large patch of pigmentation on the right side of her face.

For Zena, this wasn’t just about appearance; it deeply affected her confidence and left her feeling uncomfortable in her own skin.

Determined to find a solution, Zena tried countless products. She layered concealer to hide the pigmentation and experimented with serums and creams that cost a lot and promised miracles, but never delivered.

Frustrated and unsure where to turn, she reached out to someone she trusted implicitly: her brother, Dr Belal Chami, a research scientist and specialist in antioxidant research.

Dr Belal sourced the highest-quality ingredients and formulated a bespoke skincare solution tailored to Zena’s needs. The results were transformative — her pigmentation faded significantly, and with it, Zena regained the confidence she felt she had lost after her daughter’s arrival.

This experience sparked a bigger idea: what if they could help others experiencing similar struggles? Pigmentation, acne, signs of ageing, and other skin concerns affect not just appearance, but self-worth and quality of life.

Together, Zena and Belal founded Re-Dox Skin Labs with a clear aim: to create skincare that combines cutting-edge science, exceptional quality, and affordability, changing the landscape of skincare in Australia.

Re-Dox embraces the challenges of our unique Australian lifestyle. While we love our beaches, outdoor hikes, and sun-filled adventures, the harsh Australian sun and exposure to free radicals create significant hurdles for maintaining skin health.

Our mission is to pioneer and provide groundbreaking skincare solutions. Re-Dox delivers the latest cutting-edge research into clinics, often using the latest technologies, delivery systems and novel ingredients.

Re-Dox utilizes concepts of ‘antioxidant synergy’, working at the cell level to design serums that promote skin health, and as a result our formulations represent next generation serums.

We deliver truly unique formulations exclusive to clinics. We provide comprehensively designed skincare solutions for physicians and their patients using our proprietary Serum Diagnostic Chart, to allow patients to experience confidence in their newly founded skin health. When you first meet Dr Belal — known around Re-Dox as ‘Billy’ — what strikes you most is his deep passion for science, skin health, and education. What you don’t see, hiding just beneath the surface, is the expertise and accolades he brings to the lab as our Head of Product R&D.

Belal’s journey into skincare began with his sister Zena’s overwhelming search for quality products that really work. Seeing her struggle shaped his vision: to replace confusion with clarity, complexity with simplicity, and ineffective products with scientifically-backed solutions.

Zena is a true skincare enthusiast who has spent years searching for products that are genuinely effective, and too often coming up blank. As an experienced branding expert with a deep understanding of e-commerce, she never imagined she would start her own skincare brand, but if the solutions don’t exist, you make them yourself!

From consumer to founder
Like many women, Zena juggled career, motherhood, and the overwhelming world of skincare. She tried countless products, spent too much time on complicated routines, and questioned whether any of it was real. When her brother, Dr Belal Chami, created a personalised formula that transformed her skin, fading deep post-pregnancy facial hyperpigmentation, it changed everything.

Bringing simplicity back to skincare
Dr Belal’s customised solution made Zena rethink everything she knew about skincare. She saw an opportunity to cut through the noise of a market crowded with ineffective products — replacing expensive, time-consuming routines with simple, science-backed solutions that truly deliver.
